Book Doctor To Offer Services During Conference
Jerry Gross one of New York's top freelance editors/book doctors will be a presenter at the 2004 conference.
Mr. Gross will write a critique of the first 20 pages, plus a one of two-page synopsis, of your work and meet with you at the conference for 15-20 minutes to discuss what you've written and offer expert advice and solutions to any problems he found.
Mr. Gross is an editor with many years of experience at major New York publishing houses. He is the editor of the book EDITORS ON EDITING: WHAT WRITERS NEED TO KNOW ABOUT WHAT EDITORS DO, the standard work on trade book editing used in publishing courses, creative writing courses and at writer's conferences.
Mr. Gross will critique all kinds of fiction except category romances, science fiction, fantasy and westerns, children's and young adult. And, all nonfiction subjects except religious, spiritual, sports, business and finance.
The fee for this critique and consultation is $75, payable directly to Mr. Gross.
Partial manuscripts and book proposals must be sent to Mr. Gross no later than three weeks before conference.

Editors Note: Although Mr. Gross will not be available for the free 10-minute one-on-one sessions held during the conference, he is offering an in-depth critique of your work to be completed prior to the event and to be discussed at the conference. Participants must send him their material prior to the event and there is a monetary charge that is directly related to the service Mr. Gross offers. Participation in this service is strictly up to the individual and all correspondence should be sent directly to Mr. Gross. This is an in-depth critique service and not the same as the 10-minute sessions in which you can practice your pitches to the editors and agents participating in the Editor/Agent appointments for one of these types of appointments, you will need to contact the Editor/Agents Appointment Coordinator.
