Writing and Selling Nonfiction
This may well be the most practical, the most realistic, the most motivating,
the most informative, and the most entertaining day youve ever spent
regarding your writing career.
Rob Simbeck goes straight to the heart of the realities of freelance
nonfiction writing, whether you want to dabble in it or make a living at it.
His topics include how to craft interesting and unusual articles, how to pitch
them in unexpected places, how to use life experiences to bring passion to
writing, and how fiction writers can spin off nonfiction articles. He deals
with turning articles into books and turning books into articles.
Shirleen
Sando brings her editing skills and marketing expertise to the workshop.
Her topics will address changing trends in the publishing industry, focusing
on book distribution and the expanding role of small presses. She will also
explore the value of partnership between publisher and author and discuss
creative marketing techniques.
